Cadbury Gorilla Advertisemnt

Part A
The advertisement that I have chosen is the Cadbury Gorilla advertisement.
The purpose of this advertisement is to obviously advertise the product of Cadbury Chocolate. This advertisement is to get you to buy Cadbury’s Chocolates, even though in this advertisement the only reference to Cadbury is in the first and last frames of the advertisement.
This Advertisement is to inform you of the product Cadbury’s, in the beginning of the advertisement, it has ‘A glass and a half full production’, which they have used their slogan “A glass and a half full” (which means in every bar of Cadbury’s Chocolate that there is a glass and a half full cup of milk). They have incorporated their slogan into the advertisement in the first frames of the advertisement. At the end of the advertisement in the last frame it shows a bar of Cadbury’s Chocolate with the words ‘A glass and a half full of joy’.
This particular advertisement persuades you to buy Cadbury’s Chocolate is that this advertisement is an amusing one, and it shows that you can have a good time while eating Cadbury’s Chocolate. At the end of this advertisement it says “A glass and a half full of joy”, which in my own interpretation means that you can have fun and a good time with Cadbury’s Chocolate.
The target audience for this product is not separated by age or other demographic factors like with some products. The target audience for this product is simply those who like chocolate. With an amusing commercial such as this one, with a gorilla playing the drums to one of Phil Collins songs ‘In the air  tonight’, it would  appeal or attract  to those whose attention is better caught by an amusing commercial such as this.
In this advertisement the man’s gorilla costume looks extremely realistic, the attention given to this costume has been done in extreme detail by the costume designers. The song being played in the background ‘In the air tonight’ by Phil Collins is a well known song, but although the younger generation would not be aware of the recognition of the song that the older generation of viewers that the advertisement would have, it is still quite an amusing and well thought advertisement.
